Help Paula fighting Leukemia and Lymphoma

Yes, we are proud to call her a Brewcrewer!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!

I want to start by thanking everyone for their support over these past 6 months! I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. When I first signed up for Team In Training, I didn't really believe it was possible for me to run a marathon. When it came time to run 10 miles it seemed ridiculous! Running 14 miles on my own in Boston was a milestone and completing an 18 mile run was an incredible accomplishment. Never did I think I would become such a fan of a foam roller, discuss different types of energy products to use on long runs, or have to face an ice bath!

Now I can say with confidence, I am fit enough to complete a MARATHON!! We've begun to taper our runs to let our bodies rest and heal before the big day. Its has been both a mental and physical battle whether finding the motivation to wake up early on Saturday mornings for a run in the snow to gaining the confidence to run 18 miles and survive. Team In Training has been with me through each mile. My coach and team captain encourage and motivate me and help me through the trials and successes of training. Hearing personal accounts from those who have beat cancer (and are still running!) as well as from the friends and family of those who weren't quite as lucky helped to put my efforts in perspective. While the personal challenge of running a marathon is great, it pales in comparison to that of fighting cancer.

Thanks to your contributions we are helping to make a difference in the lives of many who are still fighting Leukemia and Lymphoma!! I've raised $690 towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, but I am still short of my goal of $1500! Donations will be accepted until the 16th of April and can be made online (check out the link at the end of the email) or you can mail me a check made out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Thank you again for your support and the next time you'll be hearing from me is when I have crossed the finish line! If you know of anyone who may be interested in contributing, please forward this message along! :)
